Learn to Dive...
Open Water Scuba Dives
This is the final portion of your Open Water Diver Certification; your
four
Open Water Dives. It is
recommended that you complete your dives within six months of your class and
pool training, but you have up to one year. You may chose to complete these
dives locally with your class and pool instructor or by referral. Your dives can
be completed world wide and your PG Dive instructor can help you arrange your
dives during your next vacation.
Your PADI Open Water Diver certification is an internationally recognized
certification that never expires. With your Open Water Diver rating you can dive
independently, without an instructor, and within the limits of your training and
experience. At this level you are trained to dive to 60 feet and with additional
training from the PADI Adventures in Diving program, you can get supervised
experience to dive deeper (up to 130 feet) or even at night. The list of
experiences are endless!
Local Dives
Weather permitting, we usually start training dives locally around May,
however, we have been known to get spring happy and go diving in April as well.
The last open water dives of the season are before Thanksgiving.

Referral Dives
Your PG Dive instructor has international teaching and diving experience
and is more than happy to share his/her knowledge on diving at these
destinations. If you would like assistance with booking your dives with another
instructor at a resort location, you can call us and we will be happy to assist.
Be sure to discuss your plans with your instructor so he/she can send you on
your way with the appropriate paperwork. Most importantly: SEND US A POSTCARD!

(limited to four divers per instructor) This does not include equipment
pick up and delivery or equipment to the beach.

You may schedule these dives with your class and pool instructor or with
one of PG Dive's other great instructors. The actual dive site will be
determined the week before your dives as we have to watch the weather
closely to find the best spot. You will need to stop by on the Thursday
or Friday before your dives to pick up your rental equipment. You can
drop the gear off at the store on Sunday afternoon. We have two rinse
stations for your convenience. Please note that you must get fitted for
a cold water wetsuit, gloves and hood at least two weeks before your
scheduled dive date. |
